Ashely Worden is a multimedia artist, most often fascinated by the way movement, music and community rely on one another. Her muse continuously leads her back to the people and places of Detroit’s underground community. She primarily sketches in ink and prefers paper, textiles and acrylics to any other media. Linework is her jam; portraiture, her love. She’s most emphatic about creating original work within reach of a public space, from wheat paste to large scale murals. She works closely with the Detroit based record label, Infolines, and also heads up the installations for Imbue Detroit. Worden is a member of the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club and is currently working on an underground series that she debuts at the meetings. Her collaborative work with the 313 030 Projekt was notably featured as an immersive exhibition during Detroit Month of Design. She currently has work on view at Gallery 46, the Herman Kiefer Complex and throughout the streets of Detroit.
